TANIT PATTERN

El patrón Tanit lleva tirantes spaguetti, muy en tendencia, pero si quieres dar otro aire al vestido, y si prefieres llevar un sujetador normal debajo, te recomiendo esta modificación ya que es bastante fácil de realizar si tienes un nivel de costura intermedio, como requiere la confeccion de este patrón de costura.

The Tanit pattern has trendy spaghetti straps, but if you want to give the dress a different look, and if you prefer to wear a normal bra underneath, I recommend this modification as it is quite easy to sew if you have an intermediate level of sewing skills, as required for this sewing pattern.


HACK TIRANTES CON VOLANTES

PASO 1 Para realizar esta variante, realizaremos la siguiente modificación a las piezas 1 y 4 del patrón :

HACK STRAPS WITH RUFFLES

STEP 1 To sew this variation, we will make the following modification to pattern pieces 1 and 4:

 

En la pieza 1, desde el punto más alto del extremo superior, bajamos 2 cm, trazaremos una línea perpendicular desde el lado del patrón a el escote, esa línea deberá medir 10 cm aproximadamente, en una talla D (En tallas inferiores, la distancia será algo más de 2cm y en tallas mayores será algo menos de 2 cm)

En la pieza 4, realizaremos la misma operación.

On piece 1, from the highest point of the upper edge, measure down 2 cm - 0.78 IN and draw a perpendicular line from the side of the pattern to the neckline. This line should measure approximately 10 cm for a size D (for smaller sizes, the distance will be slightly more than 2 cm, and for larger sizes, it will be slightly less than 2 cm).

Repeat the same process on piece 4.


PASO 2

Medir el tirante, teniendo en cuenta que la pieza del patrón, la pieza 6, es más largo de lo normal, para así facilitar la colocación una vez cosido a la pieza 4.

STEP 2 Measure the strap, bearing in mind that pattern piece 6 is longer than normal so you will have more room to work with once it is sewn to piece 4.


PASO 3

Cortar los tirantes al recto hilo, que serán de 6 centímetros de ancho cada uno, y de largo será la medida deseada más 2 centímetros de margen de costura.

Para el volante, la medida de largo será la del tirante más una tercera parte del mismo, por 14 centímetros de ancho.


STEP 3 Cut the straps on the grainline.

They should be 6 cm - 2.4 IN wide and the desired length plus a 2 cm - 0.78 IN for seams allowances.

For the ruffle, the length should be the same as the strap plus one third of the strap, and 14 cm - 5.5 IN wide.


PASO 4

Marcar la mitad del volante y del tirante con un rotulador tipo frixion.

STEP 4  Mark the middle of the ruffle and the strap with a frixion marker. 



PASO 5  Doblar cada pieza del volante por la mitad a lo largo y coser un pespunte largo doble para fruncirlo.

STEP 5 Fold each piece of the ruffle in half lengthwise and sew a basting double stitch. 




 

Fruncir el volante hasta lograr la misma medida que el tirante, distribuir el frunce, unir con alfileres al tirante y coser. Planchar con la costura hacia el tirante.

Gather the ruffle to achieve the same length as the strap, distribute the gathering, pin it to the strap, and sew. Press the seam towards the strap.




PASO 6 

“Envolver” la costura con el tirante, colocar alfileres de manera que la parte exterior el tirante sea ligeramente más estrecha que la interior, planchar e hilvanar, coser entre costuras por el derecho del tirante.

STEP 6 

“Wrap” the seam with the strap, pin so that the outside of the strap is slightly narrower than the inside, press and baste, stitch in the ditch on the right side of the strap.

 Coser a la prenda como indican las instrucciones del patrón.

Sew to the garment as indicated in the pattern instructions.

PANTALONES ORDESA - ORDESA PANTS

 ORDESA PANTS mi nuevo patrón en pdf, lo llevo gestando desde hace más de un año, está fue la primera versión, como veis el canesú delantero y trasero llevan una costura central, en la versión definitiva la he omitido para que resulte más fácil su confección, pero si tienes cierta experiencia en la costura, puedes añadirle un cm  en el centro de estás piezas y cortar dos de cada, en lugar de cortar uno doblado. Con este pequeño cambio podrías hacer como yo y utilizar un tejido de rayas cortado al bies. CHALECO DE JEAN RECICLADO -WAISCOAT FROM RECYCLED JEANS

WAISCOAT FROM RECYCLED JEANS  If there's one thing that gives me great satisfaction in sewing, it's creating a garment from a used one, as it stimulates the imagination and contributes a little to reducing the carbon footprint. I had a lot of fun with this waistcoat, I saw on instagram one with the front of a jean on the front and from that idea, I created my own. First I unpicked the inside of the jean legs, I also unpicked the back pockets. With a basic waistcoat pattern, I cut the front of the waistcoat, previously I sewed the crotch one on top of the other about 4 cm. For the sides and back I used the legs of the jeans.
